Ms. Frachetti, Teacher-Librarian:

Hello! As the teacher-librarian at Bill Roberts School, I have the privilege of enhancing the education of our students by teaching information literacy, research and technology skills, and by building a library program that supports the curriculum of our school and encourages students to read. I have been teaching in Denver Public Schools for 17 years and I've spent the last 7 of those years teaching Bill Roberts School. Throughout my teaching career, I have been a reading teacher, a gifted and talented teacher, a technology teacher, a literacy coach (reading facilitator) and a librarian. Before becoming a teacher, I worked as a certified public accountant at a public accounting firm, as well as a technical and reference librarian at the University of Hawaii, Manoa on Oahu. I earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, a Master's degree in School Library and Information Studies with an elementary teaching license, and I speak Spanish with a fair degree of fluency.

Although I grew up in Syracuse, New York, I have been living in Denver since 1996 and I love it here! As the oldest of six children, I come from a large, close-knit family and we love to get together for family camping trips and vacations whenever we can. I have one daughter and two cats. I love reading (of course!), scuba diving, horseback riding, and traveling. During my college years, I studied abroad in London, England and traveled extensively throughout Europe. I also lived in Hawaii for three years, where I developed my love of scuba diving. I truly enjoy teaching children of all ages and I feel very gratified when they thank me for helping them find "that awesome book" or express excitement over something they have learned in library class.
